A turnout of 64.7% was recorded in 88 Lok Sabha constituencies across 12 states and the Union territory of J&K in the second phase of elections on Friday which was largely peaceful even as several states saw punishing heat conditions with temperature crossing 40 degrees Celsius at many places.
