The Madhya Pradesh High Court has ordered the state chief secretary to clarify the proper use of the National Security Act (NSA) to district collectors. The court found a Burhanpur collector’s externment order of Anant Ram Awase inappropriate, quashed it, and imposed a fine on the state government for acting under political pressure without proper justification.
